One of the more exciting models to debut at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show was Honda’s very own Project 2&4 concept. The small yet high-performance vehicle began as a simple vision inside Honda's motorcycle studio in Asaka, a city located in Saitama Prefecture, Japan, and has now become a real-life concept with a long list of attractive qualities.
The Project 2&4 concept was originally created for a global in-house design competition. However, what started out as a mere idea was soon put into development once Honda’s automotive studio became involved. Designed with the Honda RA272 grand prix racer in mind, the Project 2&4 concept features retro styling that brings a bit of the 1960s into modern times. However, the driver's seat neglects this design in favor of a more contemporary configuration that gives the model a futuristic appeal.
Aside from its overall design, what truly makes the Project 2&4 concept a first-class model is its 1.0L V4, which comes paired with a six-speed, dual-clutch transmission, and outputs 212 horsepower and 87 lb.-ft. of torque. With this setup, the tiny racecar features a 14,000-rpm redline that will leave any car enthusiast impressed and wanting to own a model of their own.
