Whether you're training to run your first race or 50th, it's time to get on your running shoes and join the Humana Rock 'n' Roll Marathon!
For eight consecutive years, the half marathon/5k event has energized the Dallas area and promoted the importance of living an active, healthy lifestyle. The marathon not only features live music throughout the course, but is also known for its huge finish line festival and appearances from the Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders.
The event takes runners through a scenic route with views of the Dallas skyline, and local bands rock the stage at every mile of the race to pep up participants. Cheerleaders and other spectators root for runners throughout the 13-mile course, as well as the 5k run/walk which is available if you're not quite ready for a half marathon.
The race kicks off at Pioneer Plaza, then goes along the Margaret Hunt Hill bridge and through other iconic Dallas locations before culminating at the Lawn at Reunion. If you haven't already, check out course highlights in the video above.
While online registration is closed, you can still enter at the Health & Fitness Expo. To participate, visit the official Dallas Rock 'n' Roll Marathon website for information about how to sign up.
