Honda Supporting the Home Team as Founding Partner of LA28 Olympic and Paralympic Games and Official Automotive Partner of Team USA

Honda proudly stands as a Founding Partner of the LA28 Olympic and Paralympic Games, and it's making this partnership count. As the Official Automotive Partner of Team USA, Honda takes that honor seriously. Their commitment is clear in the accessible vehicles they provide and in their generous $1 million donation.

How Honda is Supporting the Home Team

Well known for their accessible vehicle innovations, Honda is leveraging that expertise to benefit Olympic and Paralympic competitors and officials. Their aim is to furnish a fully accessible fleet to Games stakeholders, athletes, and officials who need it during LA28.

Moreover, Honda is introducing an array of exciting vehicles for spectators and participants alike—think Motocompacto e-scooters, ATVs, and side-by-sides—to energize the LA28 atmosphere. Kazuhiro Takizawa, President and CEO of American Honda Motor Co., Inc., shared his excitement about Honda's involvement:

"The founders of Honda established our first U.S. operation in Los Angeles over 65 years ago, believing that success in America would lead to the success of Honda worldwide. On behalf of our 30,000 associates across the U.S. and in Southern California, Honda is proud to partner with LA28 and Team USA to support the remarkable athletes who follow that same path to realize their dreams in Los Angeles in the quest for gold in the LA28 Olympic and Paralympic Games."

Casey Wasserman, Chairperson and President of LA28, also commented:

"In 2028, thousands of athletes will descend on Los Angeles to chase their Olympic and Paralympic dreams. LA28 and Honda share a belief in the power of those dreams—and the ability of the Games to inspire people everywhere to reach for excellence."

Beyond vehicles and events, Honda has committed $1 million over four years to help people “reach their life's potential,” on and off the playing field. Through the Honda USA Foundation, they've already granted an additional $16 million to environmental, community, and mobility programs. It's rare to see an automaker invest so deeply in its community, and we're honored to recognize Honda's dedication.
