Honda Passport Safety In the Forefront

2019 Honda Passport Exterior RearThe 2019 Honda Passport comes with many different safety and driver-assist technologies. The Road Departure Mitigation System (RDM) and Lane Keeping Assist System (LKAS) help drivers have a safer driving experience. It uses a camera mounted in the windshield to detect markings on the road to help you stay in your lane. The RDMS can tell the difference between white and yellow lines as well as other markers on the road. It works while the vehicle is traveling between 45 and 90 miles per hour. If you unintentionally deviate from your lane, it warns you with a vibrating steering wheel and a visual cue. It may also apply torque to the steering wheel to keep you in the lane.

The Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS) alerts drivers when the system senses a potential frontal collision. If one is probable, the CMBS applies the brakes to reduce the severity of the impact. The accuracy is affected by the weather, the speed of the vehicle, and other factors.
