Full knowledge of your car's features improves your driving aptitude. You will likely find these ten indicator lights on your dashboard. Learn them to heighten your automotive awareness.

Airbag Fault
If your car's monitoring technology detects a fault in your airbag system, this indicator will appear. Consider it a warning to have your airbags serviced immediately. Waiting could affect your safety in a crash.

Low Fuel Level Warning Light
This light warns you that your gas tank is running low. The point at which it activates varies by manufacturer. We recommend not attempting to run on fumes. Stop for gas immediately.

Oil Pressure Warning Light
Your engine is receiving insufficient oil if this light shines on your dashboard. If you're driving, come to a safe stop, and check your oil. Add oil if needed. When your oil level is already adequate, this light's presence often indicates an oil pump problem.

Service Vehicle Soon
This light covers a range of potential issues, so please check your owner's manual. Most of those issues are relatively minor and are easily addressed by service experts like those on our team. In many cars, this light simply indicates the need for an oil change and other mileage-based maintenance.

TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring System)
Your ability to drive safely depends on sufficient tire pressure. This system warns you if a tire lacks sufficient pressure. Check your tires and add air to any that require it. If this light glows when you have the correct amount of air in your tires, you should seek service for your TPMS sensors.

Slip Indicator
You'll see this light sometimes when driving in bad weather or other situations where you might lose traction. It indicates that your traction features have engaged. If this indicator ever comes on and stays lit, you may need your traction control or electronic stability control serviced.

Charging System Warning Light
This indicator monitors the electrical circuit that includes your battery and alternator. It often warns of a dead battery or an alternator that needs replacement.

Brake System
This light indicates a fault in your brake lines or master cylinder. While you may be able to brake for now, please don't press your luck. We can repair your brake system.

Open Door Warning Light
You may also hear a bell when this light activates. It indicates that you have an open door. Your trunk may also be connected to this light.

Coolant Level Warning
Your engine requires specialized coolant. Running low likely indicates a problem in your coolant system. Even if you add coolant, do not let this problem linger. Running a car that has insufficient coolant creates extreme engine heat and expensive damage.
