Honda is introducing a brand-new Special Edition CR-V model coming into the 2016 model year. Sitting just between the LX and EX trims, the latest addition to the lineup will feature several upgraded exterior components that will enhance the overall appearance of the 2016 Honda CR-V and draw in new buyers in the market for a well-equipped compact crossover.
When the 2016 Honda CR-V makes its way to Honda of Fort Worth, buyers will have the chance to get a look at the new SE model up close and in person. Offering a little more luxury than the LX model, the SE will come in either front-wheel or all-wheel drive and feature a two-tone finish, 17-inch alloy wheels, second-row and rear privacy glass, and a security system. In addition to these fresh additions, all models of the CR-V, including the SE, will sport an Earth Dreams 2.4L direct-injected inline four-cylinder engine, delivering 185 horsepower and 181 lb.-ft. of torque. It will be mated to a continuously variable transmission and have the ability to produce an EPA-estimated 33 mpg highway on front-wheel-drive models.
