Specs at a Glance
In 2020, the ever-popular Honda Passport carries over mostly unchanged from the 2019 model year. This year's model is part of the third generation of the Passport that debuted in 2019. The latest Passport has the same trim lineup as before. Across the board, you'll get an SUV that has a spacious and comfortable interior with an impressive amount of passenger space.
People never feel crowded in the 2020 Passport, which also has an exceptional amount of cargo capacity. While the Passport's interior is comfortable all around, the front seats are especially comfortable. Several storage compartments make it easy to keep your belongings out of sight and mind. Two trims to consider with this year's Passport are the Sport and the Elite. The Sport trim is the base trim level, offering plenty in the way of safety features, creature comforts, and technology. The Elite, as the name suggests, is the top trim level of the 2020 Passport family. It includes all the amenities of the lower-level trims and an exceptional amount of luxury features.
Performance
All four trim levels of the 2020 Honda Passport have the same engine. A 3.5L engine with six cylinders powers the SUV. This capable engine produces up to 280 HP and 262 LB-FT of torque. It comes standard with a nine-speed automatic transmission for convenience. The Sport trim comes standard with a front-wheel drive drivetrain, while all-wheel-drive is standard on the Elite. All-wheel drive is also available on the other trim levels. A series of driving modes help you pair the Passport's performance with changing road conditions.
Appearance
The Sport trim level and the Elite have some standard features but also some distinct differences. The Sport gets bold LED headlights for an expressive front end and better visibility. Gloss-black exterior accents are another highlight of this trim, including a blacked-out front grille. A fin-style antenna on the roof is another standard feature on the Sport trim. LED brake lights make the Sport more visible all-around, while rain-sensing windshield wipers are a nice convenience in inclement weather. The Elite features heated side mirrors with integrated LED turn signals. It also gets a body-colored spoiler and body-colored door handles. Automatic on/off lights and roof rails are a distinctive feature of this trim.
Features
The Sport comes with a five-inch infotainment display screen, a keyless ignition, and three zones of climate control. The back seat features split-folding technology for optimal adaptability. A seven-speaker sound system comes standard. This trim gets a handful of safety amenities, too, including automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, and lane-keep assist. The Elite trim gets a larger eight-inch infotainment display screen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. A sunroof is standard in this trim. It also gets a heated steering wheel and heated and ventilated front seats. Along with a larger infotainment display screen, this trim gets a wireless smartphone charging port. Parking sensors and a 10-speaker sound system complete the luxurious interior.
