Honda Sensing is a complete set of advanced safety aids for your Honda vehicle. The safety package includes a handful of advanced safety components designed to detect potential accidents and collisions and stop them before they start. The Honda Sensing suite is either standard or optional for your Honda, depending on which trim level and model you select. Along with offering a core set of features, the package can be further enhanced by adding some additional safety components.
Collision Mitigation Braking System
The Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS) feature on the Honda Sensing safety package helps bring your Honda to a safe stop to prevent a frontal collision. This advanced safety aid uses sensors to determine if your vehicle is too close to the car ahead. If it is, the system deploys the front brakes to help bring the vehicle to a stop before you hit the car or object ahead.
Road Departure Mitigation System
While driving on the highway, the RDMI system will activate if you attempt to turn lanes without signaling first. The system works by applying pressure through the braking system and adjusting your car's steering to help you stay safe in the lane without veering into the lane of the cars next to you.

Adaptive Cruise Control
Adaptive cruise control is an advanced safety feature that activates at low speeds. Adaptive Cruise Control, or ACC, helps your vehicle stay a safe following distance from the car in front. It uses radar technology to adjust your car's speed as necessary based on the speed limit and the distance from your vehicle to the one ahead.
Traffic Sign Recognition
Traffic Sign Recognition is also part of the basic Honda Sensing package. It reads traffic signs in advance to help drivers become aware of changes to posted speed limits ahead and respond accordingly.
Lane Keep Assist System
Lane Keep Assist System (LKAS) is also part of the standard Honda Sensing safety suite. LKAS helps your car remain centered in its lane by adjusting the steering as needed to avoid sudden lane changes without using your turn signal.
Cross Traffic Monitor
The Cross Traffic Monitor system is a safety aid designed to help you confidently reverse. This safety mechanism uses a Multi-Angle Rearview Camera to detect vehicles or objects behind the car. When you're in reverse, the monitor sends an audible alert if you're going to hit anything backing up.
